Tracy Dawes, PMHNP-BC, FNP-BC, DrPH
My name is Tracy Dawes and I am a doctorally-prepared, double board-certified Nurse Practitioner who specializes in Psychiatric Mental Health and Family Practice Nursing. I have been a Nurse Practitioner for almost seven years. I hold a doctorate in Public Health with a focus on Preventive Care, which has honed my skill as a provider of whole-patient care.

I have years of experience treating a variety of disorders including anxiety, ADHD, bipolar, depression, sleep disorders, substance abuse, schizophrenia and others. I offer medication management, and integrate it as needed, with therapeutic approaches such as brief therapy, motivational interviewing, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

I offer both in-person and telepsychiatric visits. I see clients as young as preteens to the older adult. My goal is to walk with you or your loved one on a journey to healing and wholeness.
Our Practice
Welcome to Ubuntu Health Advocates, A Nursing Corporation. We are your premier destination for psychiatric evaluations and medications. We are here to provide you with psychiatric services and therapists who will assist you in accessing better health.

Who we are is wrapped up in our name. The word Ubuntu is derived from the Nguni languages of Southern Africa which asserts, "umuntu ngumuntu ngabantu." This is roughly translated as "a person is a person through other persons." The Xhosa precept "Ubuntu ngumtu ngabanye abantu” has no direct English translation but speaks to the quality of being human. In other words, "I am because we are." We do not live in isolation. We believe this means our nation is healthier when each one of us is healthy.
Appropriate mental health care is your right and we aim to deliver it utilizing a person-centered care model. We are here to walk with you. Welcome to your path to clarity, resolution, and optimum health.
